Customer informed me that they would have to regularly unplug and reset the unit to get the compressor to kick on. When I inspected the unit i found a 3 in 1 hard start kit wired in and replaced the compressor start device. To resolve this issue I would recommend replacement of the control and RC/FC thermistors to start, and that is if there has been no damage or failure to the sealed system. Will also need a rear harness and start device to remove the 3 in 1 hard start kit from the unit. Talked to CS, and agreed There is no way to tell if any other damage has been done at this time, and the unit has been altered.

I found that there was an F6e1 code indicating that there was a communication issue between the CCU and the MCU. I tested both the 120acv to board and output voltage and unit was receiving and sending 120. Then check the five DC volts from the main board to the MCU and found that it was only sending .3 V down so I replace the CCU and after restarting machine the F631 area code winter way but an F5 you want air code appeared indicating a bad door lock at this point I called whirlpool tech line to assist further with diagnosing before we just replaced every little part and after speaking with Andy sr#7728711371, He assisted me in narrowing down that the MCU was not communicating properly with the CCU in that both the cc you and MC you had to be replaced but at the door latch was OK after running the test recommended, after replacing both parts I was able to retest the

I did over half a tub of water weight to unit to verify if inner and outer tubs were bad but during test cycles unit ran efficiently. I did however find when water weight was applied that the suspension rods werent keeping the tub balanced as well as it should. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL KRMF706ESS01 "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Replaced dryer dryer, compressor, and coupler and please do it in a vacuum. Vacuum held for over seven minutes. After charging the unit, found a restriction as the low side was pulling -22 psi but would flicker and go back up to zero every now and again. Dumped charge and placed unit under a vacuum and tried again. Unit did the same thing 3 times and used same process. I spoke to CS and was advised to make sure the unit 3 way valve was in home position before trying again. Went to test 4 and unplugged 3 way valve and the unit once the three way valve was at home position. Vacuumed unit for 10 minutes and recharged unit. Unit pressure stabilized at 150 psi on the high side and three psi on the low side. Released a little pressure on the high side and unit is working as designed. Call complete."

Took freezer temperatures and unit was at 38°F in the refrigerator section. Customer advised that its only happened a few times but that their eggs and a jar of pickles has frozen. Upon inspection of the refrigerator compartment found unit almost there and several items against the back wall and in front of the damper door. Advise customer that with an empty refrigerator, things are more likely to freeze because the freezer air has nothing to cool and if items are against the back wall or in from of the air baffle, it will restrict airflow and cause those items and/or items next to them to freeze. Went over user care guide and unit is working as designed. Advised customer if they were going to have very little in the refrigerator, to turn the temperatures up so that it would be less likely to cause this issue. Call complete."

Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they were washing and the unit turned off before completing the cycle. I found the unit is plugged into a GFCI outlet which Whirlpool does not approve of. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes. Continued with testing and the unit operated as designed. I contacted techline and spoke to Kathy and advised of my findings and the complaint. Kathy advises that due to the unit being plugged into a GFCI outlet and breaker, there could be some interference in the current which is possibly causing the unit to shut off and recommended replacing the GFCI outlet/breaker to an improved GFCI or to a standard outlet/breaker. REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KRFF707ESS01 Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that is not cooling properly in the RC. Ms stated the unit keeps icing up in the FC on the bottom and mr keeps removing a sheet of ice. Ms also stated the unit is not dispensing water and its not making ice. I found the unit dispensing water with the filter removed but not with it installed. When it was removed the filter head leaked some water when the dispenser was running so I suspect a defective filter head. The FC was only at 14 degrees when I arrived but it had just finished a defrost cycle and the bottom of the FC was full of water. The FC drain is plugged causing the coil to frost up faster than normal and frost build up on the rails and drawers along with the ice build up in the bottom of the FC causing water to leak out the door and onto the kitchen floor when the unit goes onto defrost. The filter head assembly needs to be replaced and the drain tube cleared and sealed along with the frost and ice remove

DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED7000DW Arrived onsite for dryer not heating. Upon inspection I found the unit spinning but no heat. I also found a stored error code of F4E4 indicating a loss of voltage on L2 I accessed the terminal block and tested voltage under a load. I found when under a load there is a loss of voltage between L1 and L2. I tested continuity on the cord and all but L2 were showing ohms L2 showing open. I advised the customer would need to get a new power cord. The power chord is not covered under warranty so they would need to install themselves. job complete.

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW4955HW1 Grabbed on site for washer that was making weird clicking noises and loud grinding noise is according to the customer. After running multiple tests on the unit both manually and an auto test I could not find any immediate signs of grinding or loud clicking. I then ran another Manuel diagnostic test and filled the unit with (3/4 of tub) water to simulate a decent amount of weight. At this point a loud grinding noise could be heard when the tub would agitate. I called WP tech line and spoke with Andy sr: 7728704714. He advised to replace the gear case.after replacing the units gear case I retested unit and found the the new gear case was also grinding and not allowing for proper functionality during cycles. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS588FIHV00 "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, the customer provided a video of the noise which sounded like a fan rubbing noise. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked the compressor in test #5. When the compressor would ramp,up to max speed, approximately halfway though the ramping, it would begin to make a loud rattling/vibrating noise. Also, when it would slow down to minimum speed, halfway through, it would make the noise again. I inspected the compressor and it is secured tightly with four bolts and it not rubbing against the chassis or anything else. I placed some sound pads on the top and retested and the compressor was much more quieter. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs and demonstrated for the customer. Customer was satisfied with the quieter noise. I recommended to the customer that if the noise comes back, to contact our office and I will recommend replacing the compressor. No water leaks
