Arrived on site for sealed system repair. I gained access to the evaporator and found no frost pattern. I gained access to the compressor and found it coming on and good voltage to the compressor. I punctured the Ryder and found no refrigerant in the system. I replaced the compressor and installed a UV dryer into the system. I replaced the evaporator as well. I pulled a vacuum and found no leaks. I put a sweep charge into the system and found no leaks. I recharged the cycle. With 4.27 oz of r134a. I found a good frost pattern forming on the evaporator. Job complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator tripping breaker. Upon further inspection, customer advised that the unit began tripping the breaker off and on around July 2020 and has progressively gotten worse to about one time per day. I checked the breaker box and found the unit is on a GFCI breaker and a standard outlet. I pulled the unit on my floor protector and found floor damage underneath the unit (photos). Advised customer of my findings. Removed the back panel and tested amp draw at the compressor and it showed 1.29amps. Cycled power to the unit and when I plugged it back in, the breaker tripped. Turned breaker on and unplugged/plugged unit back in and checked amp,draw to compressor again and at startup, it showed 8.9amps and dropped to 1.32amps. I recommended they have someone check the outlets and breaker. Customer contacted their builder and advised of my findings and recommendations and builder advised customer that others in the neighborhoo

I pulled the unit out and found water on the floor. I inspected the drain pan ad could not see any cracks. I poured water into the drain pan and still no water leaking out. I inspected the inlet valve and found the ice maker side leaking from the valve.I removed and replaced the valve and tested and it is operating as designed with no leaks. Arrived on site for ice machine that was making ice but not producing it quickly enough. Upon arrival I found that the unit was in the process of finishing a harvest cycle and it was obvious that the amount of ice being created on the evaporator tray was an indication that the sealed system and ice production hardware in the unit was functioning as designed. I then ran a diagnostic test and ran through the 12 steps the unit had and verified that all the thermistorÂ’s were functioning as designed and that the drain pump to the reservoir was functioning as well as compressor and condenser fan motor and other components like circulating pump etc. The two problems that I did find was that when the heater was activated it would receive the proper voltage but the heater was not holding the charge well enough to heat the ice up quickly which was causing the ice to melt slowly over time and would not even melt the ice fully through before the next batch is read

Upon further inspection, I found ice had accumulated at the bottom of ever and when I removed the evap cover, I found the drain tube was clogged. Using my steamer, I removed the ice and cleared the drain tube of any debris. I recommended the customer have a heat probe installed to help keep the drain tube from freezing up again. I installed the probe and tested defrost and it is operating as designed. No water leaks observed at the end of service, job completed."

Arrived on site for refrigerator they had a door separating that need to be reassembled and an icemaker that still wouldnÂ’t shut off on its own like it was supposed to. Upon arrival I found that the gap that was being formed inside the left fresh food door was due to the fact that there are some interior screws underneath the trimming of the door that were separating from the outer panel I disassembled the left side door in titan older screws that held the outer cover panel to the frame and was able to reassemble the unit and took documenting photos to show the gap is no longer there. As for the icemaker I did call Whirlpool tech line as well as look at the diagram of the unit itself and found that the Icemaker arm extension shut off is missing from the arm itself whirlpool confirm that without this extension connected to the arm that it would not function as needed and that we would need to re-order a new extension to add to the already existing arm

The unit would automatically go into trying to drain but would not. Called tech line and recommended reading ohms on the drain pump. Got 20.1 ohms (in range). Tech line recommended replacing control, so control was replaced. After control replacement unit was completely responsive SR#7728993587. While trying to run diagnostics noticed that the drain pump was having issues draining. Noticed that the customer had his drain inserted deep into the drain pipe and had it completely sealed.
