"Arrived on site to diagnose cooktop with multiple issues. Customer informed me the unit had a couple of hard to light burners, mainly the front right burner which rarely lights. Once burners are on, unit will continue to click like its lighting. I attempted to removed the cooktop and check the igniter in the front right burner but found the collar but is rusted / fused to the orifice holder, and if you try to torque too hard the holder shifts and starts bending the pipe. The clicking is likely a bad igniter with reignite triggering constantly. When I retested the unit with the burner caps on and cleaned, I found all the burners light and no longer click.

The customer had concerns of crushed ice coming out when cubed is selected. I tested and confirmed the ice bin is working as designed. I explained that the ice has to pass by the teeth that crush it and sometimes ice crumbles can get caught and release when the pad is depressed but is fairly normal for this unit. They advised that they tried unplugging the unit and swing other buttons and nothing would change. I found the control lock was turned on and when I attempted to turn it off, the console failed to respond. I unplugged the unit and attempted again and it continued to fail. I attempted one more time, and the console responded. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. Unit is operating as designed. Ohmed out OWI at P12-1&3 at main control 38.7ohms room temp, added hot water and went to 28.7ohms, showing that OWI could detect change in water temp. Checked amps between thermostat and heating element during high temp wash 6.7amps, During dry cycle 4.8 amps. All signs indicating main control not detecting wash cycle accurately. After approval from customer, replaced main control. Reassembled, tested, unit functioning as designed. Unit was able to power on and power off. Call complete.
