Arrived on site for dryer that would not rotate the drum whenever it was turned on and upon arrival customer also stated that whenever it was cycled off the buzzer would never turn off like you needed to. I was able to verify the integrity of all the heating hardware inside the unit and verify that the timer was getting 240 V but I found that the motor was stuck and not able to always rotate even though timer supplied proper power. I also found the timer would get stuck near end of cycle and not allow for the cycle to end correctly. At first I did try to install a new timer to see if it would fix the motor issue and although I fix the timer getting stuck the motor is still having a problem not wanting to rotate on its own when the power is given to it. I remove the timer and we will need to get approval from American home shield for the replacement of the timer motor and blower wheel assembly in order to fully resolve the issue. If unit is spinning, the initial charge up and each speed increase creates an almost plastic squeak. Checked the belt and found black marks on the cam looking like the belt is slipping and making a noise. Ordering a new belt, and returning with the motor and can to replace the bottom pieces. I open the door and held the door switch down and after pushing start I spun the drum and it started to work and run. I gained access to the compressor and punctured the dryer. I found the system low on refrigerant. I installed a UV dryer and an access valve into the compressor. I did a push pull test, I pulled a 30 inch vacuum and found it holding. I put a measured charge of 5.3 oz r134a. I monitored the pressure and found them holding and building properly. I ran a test cycle and found the water inlet valve and main control not functioning properly. I also found the entire rotor /stator assembly ruined with leaking oil from gear case. The gear case is also grinding internally. I attempted to remove the washplate but could get the unit to release from gear case assembly. Unit will need a full rebuild to complete repairs. Office to reschedule due to parts being out of stock. Upon arrival I had a very hard time trying to get the range into a diagnostic mode because the UI control with Bon called buttons being pressed. After numerous attempts I was able to verify that the UI control is not always functioning as designed some of the buttons are responsive while others do not want to function at all and in some cases some of the buttons will reset the ui. I did a resistance check on the thermistor and found it at 2.3k ohms. I turned the unit on and tested the thermistor I found with the evaporator cold, the thermistor still showing 2.3k ohms. The thermistor is not changing resistance based on temperature. I replaced the thermistor and retested it, it is now changing with temperature change.
