DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED9150WW1 Arrived on site for a dryer that would not start a cycle. Inspected unit and work area. Tested door switch and found door switch operational. Ran unit through diagnostic mode and found the motor not turning. Tested resistance through the door switch and through the control and found unit within range. Tested resistance down through the motor and found an open line somewhere. Removed bottom toe plate and tested fuse. Found thermal fuse blown. Replaced thermal fuse with a thermal fuse out of my truck stock. Tested unit and unit is now working as designed. Call complete.

Ran unit through auto test and unit ran as designed. In a heated at the end of the cycle. Advised customer due to an oversize issue inside the unit that it was probably due to the float switch being open after the RINSE cycle. They both said that that would cause the unit to Heat any further. Went over user care guide as well as dishwasher techniques and call complete.

Upon further inspection, customer advised that the unit is keeping food cold lie its supposed to and dispensing water from the dispenser, but not making ice. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the ice maker. In test 56 I found no error codes. Tested in #57 and the IM harvested. Tested the fill tube in #45 and found no water getting to the IM but I could hear the valve humming. I tested voltage to the ice maker heater and got 124V. Checked ohms and found the heater open. I remove the ice maker housing and found the fill tube heater shortedI am ordering the fill tube heater and CNOTE-LSO PER CUSTOMER REQUEST and office to schedule return service. No water leaks observed during service.; ordrng 1 CNOTE (LSO PER CUSTOMER REQUEST) and 1 W11087201 (heater)"

Upon further inspection, customer pointed out where grease was building up on the cabinets above the microwave and advised that while cooking, she had the microwave hood vent on and found that smoke was blowing out from the top front of the microwave and set the fire alarm off. I tested the vent hood fan and found a lot of air was blowing out the front. While the fan was on, I checked the damper outside and found it opened. As I was removing the vent cover, I found the right side taping not secured and air leaking and also the top of the vent was not taped securely and was leaking air. I removed the vent cover and found that the microwave damper wasnt sealed off and air was escaping between the microwave and cabinet and flowing to the front of the unit (photos). Upon inspection I found the drum around the edge had been rubbing against something and scraped off all of the paint around the edge and it is chipping and flaking. I tested continuity at the element and it tested good. I inspected the drive motor and found that 1 of the windings was broken. The unit will need a drive motor and drum for repair. Ordering drum (3391834) returning with the drive motor (W10396037) control (WPW10476828) element (WP3403591) just in case. I left the unit disassembled for a quicker repair process on return visit.
