"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. I installed the new evap cover. Upon replacing the part I found the evap thermistor in the wrong place and put it into the correct place then zip tied it. I then gained access to the control to fully diagnose the unit. I ohmd out the thermistors and found the RC thermistor at 3.11k ohms, the FC thermistor at 13.29k ohms, and the RC evap thermistor at 5.55k ohms. These are all accurate to the temps at the time of reading. I then put the unit into diagnostics mode and found the evap fan not turning on. I gained access to the control again and found the proper 14VDC at pins P14-3 to P14-4 going to the fan. This indicates a faulty fan needing to be replaced. I replaced the fan scroll and tested the unit in diagnostics again. Test 3 step 3 was now activating the fan. The unit is working as designed. No leaks observed at the time of service. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator with no cool. Upon arrival the customer had the unit unplugged and off. I found the unit had been unplugged for several days. I plugged the unit in and could hear the evap and condenser fans working. I gained access to the evap and found it was not getting a frost pattern. I gained access to the compressor and found the start device clicking, getting voltage, but the compressor was not turning on. You could hear the compressor struggle. I unplugged the unit and removed the start device. I then ohmd out the compressor windings and found them way out of range. This indicates a failing compressor.

Removed igniter harness and installed new igniter harness. Placed in bake preheat 350. Ignites on first spark for first high temp. Second high temp clicked igniter, but never sparked flame. Same issue. Called Whirlpool tech line. Spoke to Andrew with tech line. Drew had me check resistance at the DSI board. We found the reading at the gas valve for bake and broil were way out of range. Ordering valve to return and complete the repair. While we wait to return with the new valve I showed the customer how to reignite the bake element if they would like to use the oven. Once the oven turns off the flame and goes to reignite on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. high temp they can open the oven door and the valve will open to release the gas and light the flame. ; ordrng 1 WPW10602001 (Regulator / Valve)"

I turned the unit on and could hear a humming noise like the motor rotating but the drum wasnt turning. I disassembled the unit to find that a fire had started inside the unit due to the amount of lint inside and the motor overheated (photos). I advised the customer of my findings I reassembled the unit and left it unplugged for safety. Recommended that the customer clean the lint from behind the unit before installing the new unit. I arrived on site for a dishwasher not draining and leaking. Upon further inspection I found the tub filled with water. I manually drained the unit and it worked as designed. I removed the toe plate and then put the unit into diagnostics mode. I found stored error codes F6E4 for float switch open and F5E2 for door stuck closed. I ran a test cycle and observed no leaks from the bottom of the unit. I pulled the unit out and could observe no signs of leaks from the unit anywhere. At the time of service I did not find any leaks coming from the unit. The unit is working as designed and is draining properly. I did find the float switch not connected properly and adjusted however. I found the customer using an off brand soap and advised possibly trying a different soap. Call complete.

I then tried replacing hv board but found same results after reassembling. I called whirlpool techline and spoke with Sterling sr#7730689072. We retested all previously done tests as well as checked power from ui to hv board. Techline recommended replacing both ui and main control due to logic being controlled from ui but power being supplied from hv board. After installing needed parts I found same failing results on ice maker tests. At this time unit can not repaired due to internal failure with wiring in insulation (per techline)"

"Arrived on site for left front large burner/dual element not heating correctly. very long time to heat and not reaching to heat and not reaching temp. Turned on all elements and all were heating as designed. Customer expressed they heated a small amount of water on dual burner and it took four minutes vs the right side element that took two minutes. According to the model tag the wattage for large left front burner is lower powered (1600 watts) than the right front (2500 watts). The left front is a larger surface area, but when you see the coils they are spaced out more thus giving a lower wattage output. Small burners are 1200. Customer showed me their user and care guide that covers cookware recommendations for best heating results. Range heating as designed. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect washer noises. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the washer is making a thumping noise when it goes into spin mode. Customer advised that it doesnt always make the noise. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes. Tested the unit in test #12 and it operated as designed. I manually tested the spin cycle and it operated as designed. I advised the customer that the unit is more than likely trying to balance the load when its making the thumping noise and it may or may not show an error code for off balance load. I recommended doing small to medium loads so that the unit will be able to balance the load easier. Customer advised that they have a water softener system. "Arrived on site for a washing machine making a loud sound. I tested the unit and it sounded like the belt was skipping. I tried to manually spin the tub but was not able to. I found the unit extremely bound. I gained access to the bottom of the unit and found the motor turning and working as designed. I found the belt skipping on the gear case not being able to turn it, but the belt being turned still by the motor. I found a bad transmission assembly and it will need to be replaced.
