DISHWASHER FRIGIDAIRE FFBD2406NB2A Arrived on site for Dishwasher not turning off after unit was turned on. Upon arrival I tested the functionality of the Phil agitation and drain cycles and found that unit was functioning as designed by customer stated unit would run for hours on end and never shut off I also noticed that whenever I start a fresh new cycle the unit would take him to dream but on this particular Frigidaire model it should not do that unless there is water detected in the tub and upon starting to test theres absolutely no water to trigger that kind of reaction from the dishwasher then replace the main control and reassembled and tested the unit I was able to verify them that the unit is fully functioning as designed and when the tub is empty it will immediately start feeling like it should and not drain and the unit does shut off when it needs to. I turned the motor on and found it working. I inspected the blower wheel and found it in good condition. I removed the vent from the down draft and I found the ventilation has greatly improved. Tested temperatures in the freezer and refrigerator sections and found the freezer sitting at -5°F. Found the refrigerator sitting at 37°F. Checked temperature settings and found both at the temperatures found. Placed unit in service diagnostics and tested the evaporator fans, thermistors, and compressor. All were working as designed. Checked evaporator for a defrost issue and found no evidence of defrost issues. I called Techline and spoke to Leon SR#7729663411. He had me run through a few other tests and advised that due to too many variables, there was no way to figure out what was the problem or what put the unit into a failed state.

Upon further inspection, customer advised that the left FC door that not replaced had ice built up on it around the the ice maker cover. When I opened the door, I found ice built up at the back of the FC section in the top right corner equivalent to an air leak. I found the gasket had a small gap in it and I adjusted it using my heat gun. Also recommended that the customer be careful when placing food items in the freezer as they could stick out too far off the shelf and prevent the door from closing. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Customer let me know the one and only time this happened was when they put a blanket in the unit and it seemed like the blanket absorbed a lot of water and got very heavy. I wrapped the exposed sections of the wires with electrical tape. Plugged range back in and it did not flip the breaker. Unfortunately the gas bake turns on without starting the bake cycle when the range is plugged in. The red wire that was pinched shorted out the relay in the control board. WASHER MAYTAG MHW5500FW1 "Arrived on site for dispenser retaining water. I inspected the unit and work area. I found error codes F7e9, f8e3, f3e1. I ran the unit through a diagnostics cycle and found it not coming out of step 8. I replaced the main control. Ran the unit through diagnostics again and found it still not coming out of test 8. I removed the water pressure hose from the switch and ran it again. It came out of step 8 and complete the diagnostics cycle. I checked the hose and found it not kinked. WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW7300DW0 "Arrived on site for washing machine that was leaking and making a loud noise. I put unit into diagnostics mode and ran test cycle. During test cycle I heard a loud grinding noise during high agitation/spin. I tested both components manually and found same noise. I gained access to rotor and found it wearing down at threads possibly causing it to slip and create noise. I also found slider to be broken at magnetic metal plate and plastic where it should be attached as one cohesive piece and causing it to slip and possibly make noise. I found water running down inner back left of unit and tracked it up to inlet housing. Found water dripping from inlet housing. Advised customer we need to replace the rotor, slider, and housing. Also advised customer I found small drip at cold water connection at wall dripping into drain hose area. I advised customer to get this fixed as well.

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW8500DC2 "Arrived onsite from washer leaking. Upon inspection I found the inlet valve would leak badly when engaged. I turned down the pressure at the wall a little to help it from leaking so bad. I tried testing the unit in diagnostics but I found it would not spin, I also could not hear the clutch shifting between agitate or spin. I accessed the drive system and found the slider was worn or failing. I found presence of rust and gear case oil on the clutch and stator. The unit will need a new housing assembly, gearcase clutch and slider. The stator did not look damaged but I will return with one just in case. Ordering Housing (W11173599) returning with the rest of the drive system for repair. Requesting AUTHO for repair. ; ordrng 1 W11173599 (housing)"
