Arrived on site for Dryer is Not Tumbling or Spinning - Dryer. Placed dryer in timed dry and could hear motor whining. Gained access to drum and assisted drum to spin and dryer began spinning. Removed drum and tested voltage to motor. Motor was getting proper voltage. Removed motor / blower wheel and installed new motor and original blower wheel. Reassembled dryer and tested on timed dry. Found no heat turning on. Tested thermal cut off and it had no continuity. Customer stated they had parts and provided a thermal cut off. Replaced thermal cut off with customers provided thermal cut off. Tested dryer again and element began heating. Allowed dryer to run for five minutes to ensure the element would continue working. Heating element heating as designed.

Arrived on site for a dishwasher that?s not starting cycles. Inspected unit into work area. Ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F5 E1 (door not closed) error code. Ran the unit through a diagnostic test in the unit ran as designed. Tested the unit in a normal wash cycle five separate times and found the unit working as designed. I asked the customer to run a load for me and noticed that they weren?t closing the door before the unit counted down causing it to go into a paused state. The customer was unaware that all they needed to do was to hit the start button and close it again before the time ran out. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect dryer not drying. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit by opening the door and closing the door switch. Once unit was on, I could see the element illuminating. Using the vent test kit, I tested the airflow to the unit and it failed two out of two times. I advised the customer of my findings and demonstrated the test to my customer. Customer advised that the vents have not been cleaned since they moved in. I recommended that they have the vents professionally cleaned. No lint observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect freezer light not working. Upon further inspection, I found the FC light out and the ice maker light operating when I pressed the FC door switch. I removed and replaced the FC upper light and tested. Unit is operating as designed. Also, I found, while checking the ice maker light, that the ice maker harness had been pulled from its clips and was hanging over the ice tray. I found 2 wires with the protective cover broken. I placed some electrical tape over the breaks in the wires and placed the harness back into the clips and using foil tape, I secured the harness to the clips so they wont come out. Tested and unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I contacted techline and spoke to Rich and advised of the complaint and my findings. Rich advised that due to the water softener, they should cut their detergent use to 1/6 of the manufacturer recommendations for detergent use and not use pods. Rich recommended that the customer check the 3 modifiers (temp,spin,soil) before every wash and make sure theyre doing an extra rinse with each load. Rich advised to not replace any parts as this is considered user error and provided SR#7731798774. I advised the customer of my conversation with Whirlpool tech support and made recommendations for use & care, as well as detergent use. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect range oven temps. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they had their inspector check the temps in the range oven and were told the temps were way off. Customer advised that the inspector used a laser gun to check the temps. I advised that the manufacturer recommends using a multimeter with thermal lead to test temps as were testing air temps and not surface temps. Using my multimeter, I placed my thermal lead in the middle of the center rack and tested temps on Bake at 340 degrees. My temp reading at preheat was 445. My next five readings were 317, 388, 316, 391, 327 for an average temp of 347.8 degrees. I advised the customer that the unit is heating properly. I made recommendations for use & care. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed."

Arrived onsite for range getting hot in bake function. Tested unit at 350 degrees and found unit control panel getting hot on right side of panel near ventilation area. Cooktop and door are within acceptable range.

"Arrived on site for dryer not starting. Inspected unit and work area. Found smoke stain around outlet. Removed power cord and found L1 burnt but still sending voltage to dryer. Disassembled dryer and tested voltage at control. Found voltage getting to control but control not see any voltage out. Measured motor circuit and heating circuit. Found motor circuit opened. Traced circuit and found motor and fuse both opened/ failed. Found failure due to surge from outlet most likely for multiple failed parts.

Arrived on site for No or Partial Display. Work was actually meant for the cooktop and not the oven. Customer stated the knobs would not turn to heat up the elements. If they did turn they had to be mashed down to work. Found three knobs were stripped of the metal ring inside that secures them to the valve stems. Ordering three stainless knobs (W11418244) to return and complete the repair. Had to remove oven in order to access the model and serial number for the cooktop. Measured voltage and found only 40 volts. Gained access to control and measured voltage and found same. Called Whirlpool tech support and spoke with J.R and verified voltage reading was correct. Found failed control. Removed failed control and installed new. Measured voltage to heater and found 120 volts. All tested good, no water leaks detected during service.

Arrived onsite for ice machine not powering on. Upon inspection I found the external pump running constantly when plugged in but no interior lights or control function. I found the disposal had recently been replaced. I disconnected the drain hose from the pump and tried to blow through. It was blocked. I found the punch tab inside the disposal had not been knocked out for the drain. I knocked out the tab and replaced the pump. I was now able to power on the unit. I ran diagnostics and found the internal drain pump and res pump both pumped but the unit would not fill with water. The display indicated the reservoir was full but there was no water. I unplugged the rescirc pump but still no valve function and the display read full reservoir. I am ordering the recirculating pump and control to complete the repair. I left the unit unplugged to protect the new pump. Arrived on site for Cons stating that the dryer is not heating properly. Placed in timed dry and used thermocouple to test heat. First cycle heated up to 295 and cooled down to 132. Second cycle heated to 250 and cooled to 125. Third heated to 256 and cooled to 130. Dryer heating as designed. Found vent tube was kinked due to dryer being pushed too far back against the wall. Pulled out dryer and disconnected vent tube and found lint covering 1/4 of wall vent opening. Removed lint build up and ran temps again. Dryer staying hot longer and cooling down quicker. Went outside to check exterior vent and didnt find any blockage. Remounted vent tube to wall vent and shortened the length of vent tube to give a better flow of hot air. Explained to customer they would not want to push dryer back against wall any further than where I placed it to prevent the vent tube from kinking and causing blockage of air. Dryer heating as designed. Job completed.

Arrived on site for Washer not spinning out Clothes still damp. Placed in diagnostics and got motor fault error. This was the only error code. Cleared error code. Gained access to actuator and found actuator was not engaged into splutch. Removed actuator and installed new actuator. Ran through auto diagnostics and all cycles completed without issue. "Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that is not making any ice. On arrival found the ice bucket empty. Pulled icemaker and checked fill tube heater wiring. Found wiring good. Secured with tape to make sure it does not drop. Icemaker had ice in it and didnt harvest. Ran diagnostic and unit would not cycle. Replaced icemaker. Ran unit, and could hear icemaker cycling properly. Tested fill, and found fill just clunks. But you can hear a drip. Interior of unit is filled and airflow channels are blocked, so fill tube is likely frozen. Advised customer to unplug unit and defrost it so that the fill tube can thaw, this should resolve any issues. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for freezer not cooling. We inspected the unit and work area. We temp tested the freezer and fridge. Found the at 16 freezer and 44 fridge when set to -5 and 33. We gained access to the compressor and checked for any dye leaking and found none. I hooked my gauges up and put the unit into test 4. In step 4 I found 10 psi low and 150 psi high, on step 5 I found 1 psi low and 150 high. I put the unit into a forced defrost and checked voltage from the control, I found it fluctuating between 70 and 110 vac.I checked continuity through the defrost system and found it good. I checked voltage to the compressor and for 120 vac and 3.5 dc. I check all thermistors and found the rc evaporator thermistor reading 1.3 kohms at the control. We gained access to the rc evaporator and checked resistance at the thermistor and found the same. We replaced the rc evap motor and harness. I called tech line and spoke to Andrew and received sr# 7731799838. they recommended replacing the hv control and UI as well. I am ordering both and AUTHO for them. Arrived onsite for unit not cooling in rc section clump of ice on rc evap. Upon arrival tested rc thermistor found it reading units on 100 degree range. Replaced and tested unit is now operating as designed. Job Completed.

Arrived on call for complaint of will error code F4E1. Called tech line and they determined the harness was bad. Wire the harness the correct position and dryer working properly.

Arrived onsite for dryer not operating. Upon arrival found unit was stacked on limited work area. Tried to test found voltage was good at block. Found if you spin motor by hand while trying to start unit will operate. Ordering control UI and motor and blower. Arrived on site for moisture on mullion divider. Removed mullion checked contacts on mullion no ohm reading or continuity diagnosed a defective mullion heater. Ordering new mullion heater ; ordrng 1 W10732106 (Mullion)

Arrived onsite and found power cord red wire had burned and damaged block. Oven wiring may be unscathed. Ordering wiring harness and block to repair. Office to reschedule. ; ordrng 1 WPW10245259 (Power block)

"Arrived onsite for unit making a noise during agitation. Looked under the unit and found that an orange cap was right under the motor shield, removed cap. Tested the unit, and got no noticeable noises. Put the unit through diagnostics for error codes, and there were no codes present. Ran unit in a quick wash with some towels. Unit made no unusual noises still. Customer heard it as well and said that it wasn?t making the noise as before. They said they will video for next time incase they need to call again. No issues at this time. Job complete"

"Arrived on site and inspected dryer and found door switch has broken, replaced door switch and dryer will now start and is running normally, job complete"

Arrived onsite for dryer that has a damaged filter screen or the screen is stuck inside the housing. Upon arrival I found the screen had broken and the housing pieces along with a sock had fallen into the blower wheel jamming it. I removed all the broken pieces and sock. I replaced the filter screen and housing. I reassembled the unit and tested. The unit is working as designed at this time. Job complete.

Arrived onsite to install previously diagnosed parts. I installed the convection assembly but I found it getting a constant 120VAC while in idle. The convection element is energized and hot while in idle. I unplugged the convection and found the same voltage being supplied from the control. I verified continuity of the elements. I will need to return with the main control to complete the repair. Office to R/S due to part availability. ; ordrng 1 W11308431 (Control) and 1 W11501964 (Main harness)

"Arrived onsite to install previously diagnosed parts. I found the UI panel that was order doesnt include the board insert. will re order the control and Ui assembly for return visit. While onsite I verified good resistance of the dispenser, vent wax, and heater element. ; ordrng 1 W11402115 (UI) and 1 WPW10653840 (Latch) and 1 W11085683 (Sump and motor) and 1 W10876537 (Drain pump) and 1 W11116422 (Console)"

"Arrived on site for a microwave that still intermittently not heating. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that for a 12 hour period, they were unable to use the microwave at all. Advised that once it started working, it?s been working for the past four days. Spoke to SW and advised that it appeared that they would have to be an issue with the main board or potential door switches. She advised the same thing based on the complaint. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to TJ SR# 7731424810. He advised that based on your complaint and testing that?s been done, he would also do the same thing and replace the secondary interlock and third door interlock as well as the main board. He advised that there was no other components that would make sense in accordance to the customers complaint. Replaced parts and reassembled unit tested the unit on a minute cycle with a Pyrex bowl of water and the unit heated and ran as designed. Call complete."
