Almost everyone wants to spend time with their family and see some good, old-fashioned fireworks on the 4th of July and San Antonio is certainly no different. Besides experiencing a great show in the sky after the sun has set, there are also some other great ways to celebrate our nation on this special day.
Free Fireworks And Fun At The Official San Antonio Hot Spot
The City of San Antonio and Parks Foundation is the home of “the official” celebration for the Fourth of July. All of your family, friends, and folks are all invited to Woodland Park for a full day of fun and frivolity in a carnival atmosphere beyond compare almost anywhere. The firework extravaganza starts at 9:00 p.m., but be sure to stop by their website for a complete listing of all the other activities you don’t want to miss including live music, mechanical bull rides, a food fair and photos with “Peppa Pig.”
Playing At San Antonio Amusement Parks
If you’re a resident or visitor to San Antonio and you’re planning on visiting one of these great amusement parks, fireworks come along with the price of admission at:
- Sea World – After enjoying the day with aquatic wildlife and the many adventures here, be sure to stick around for the fireworks being shot off at Ski Lake around 9:45 p.m. In addition to their spectacular daily attractions from Sesame Street’s Bay of Play to Shamu’s show, Sea World will have other attractions specifically centered around 4th of July celebrations.
- Six Flags – Collaborating with Coca-Cola, Six Flags is planning a 4th of July fun fest that will span over three days of fireworks and festivities that will last long throughout the long holiday weekend. With thrilling roller coasters, music and some great giveaways, this is a great way to spend the day for the 4th of July.
