Error Code AP
This error code signals an access point problem.
When functioning as an access point, the refrigerator will show the AP error code. The access point mode is used so that you can configure your refrigerator for Wi-Fi features such as SmartThings.
By pushing and holding the button designated during the SmartThings setup, you can manually fix this problem. This error code will also disappear once the setup is finished.
Error Codes PC ER, PC CH
These error codes denote a communication problem between parts of the refrigerator. To clear this error, unplug your refrigerator then unplug and reattach the wire harness above the door, and then plug everything back in to fix the problem.
Error Code OF OF or O FF
The refrigerator is in cooling off mode if it displays the symbols OF OF, O FF, or OFF, or if it displays scrolling temperature bars. Demo or store mode are other names for cooling mode.
The control panels located on the outside front of the fridge, on the left side, are the most popular way to switch this mode off.
- Find the top two buttons on the left side of the panel.
- Press and hold both of these buttons at the same time for around 10 seconds, or until you hear a chime.
- Watch the display for a short while to make sure it doesn’t go back into Cooling Off Mode. These steps might need to be repeated more than once if the error does not clear immediately.
Error Code 21E
This error code indicates that while the fan should be spinning, the electronics are not picking up rotational data from the fan.
This typically indicates that the fan is frozen, which can happen if the door is left open or if the door gasket is not closed when it should be. Fan motor failure is another possibility.
If your fan is frozen, unplug the appliance in order to defrost it. You can also check to ensure the fridge is not overfilled to the point that the door is not closing properly. If this doesn’t clear the error, check the door gaskets all the way around the door to make sure they have contact.
Error Codes 22E and 22C
These codes indicate another fan issue and may be brought on by operating the refrigerator with the door left open for an extended period of time.
If this happens, disconnect the fridge, leave the doors open for a few hours, then plug it back in, close the doors, and carry on as usual. This should clear the error code.
Error Code 41C
Only the 3-Door French Door Family Hub units should experience this problem. It indicates an issue with a software update. To fix it:
- Check that the most recent software update has been downloaded and installed properly to resolve this issue.
- Once the information has been updated, select OK.
- After the update, if the error persists more than once, you might need to bring in a skilled technician as it could suggest a more serious electrical fault.
Error Code 76C
This error means that water has been detected in the autofill compartment. If this error occurs, you need to remove the pitcher and drain the water in the compartment. After drying any residual water with a towel, inspect the pitcher for any cracks. A damaged pitcher is usually the cause of this error. If you order and install a replacement part the error will be resolved.
Error Code 85C
This error code signifies that the power supply has experienced low voltage.
Pressing OK for three seconds will remove this error.
You will need to speak with an experienced technician if this does not resolve the error code.
Error Codes 88 88, 83E, 85E, or 86E
These error codes signify a power or voltage error.
They come about as a result of things like power surges or other electrical anomalies, which may result in a communication issue with your Samsung refrigerator.
Disconnect your refrigerator from its power source or turn off the power at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to clear the error code.
You will need to speak with an experienced technician if this does not resolve the error code.
