The 41st Annual HEB Austin Symphony 4th of July Concert and Fireworks
It’s an annual Austin family tradition where tens of thousands of Central Texans clamor for the best spot on the grassy fields near Lady Bird Lake at Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores) in front of the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Witness spectacular fireworks against a backdrop of the Austin city skyline while the Symphony performs patriotic classics. The Wells Branch Fourth Fest
For an all day celebration full of family-friendly events, don’t miss the Well Branch Fourth Fest at the Katherine Fleischer Park. Citizens begin to line the streets near the park for a parade at 10:00 a.m. and enjoy activities throughout the whole day. Hyde Park Baptist Independence Day Celebration at the Quarries
Another great, family friendly venue is found at the Quarries Lake where the Hyde Park Baptist Church celebrates the 4th of July in style. Fireworks start at sundown (or around 9:00 p.m.) and all ages and faiths are welcome to join in the celebration. Bob Schneider’s Independence Day Celebration
If you’re looking for a unique indoor/outdoor experience, look no further than the Nutty Brown Cafe and Amphitheater. Live musical performers this year include local favorites The Avocados and Calliope Musicals. Prices range from $20 for an outdoor spot (bring a lawn chair) to several VIP levels for a front row seat to the extravaganza.
