Warranty repair
Sarah - Cedar Park, TX
Appliance Express was called to take care of a part that had broken on our dishwasher, which was still under warranty. They were prompt and, per my description of the problem, preemptively ordered the part so they could fix it on the “evaluation of merit for warranty” visit instead of having to return a second time. Courteous and professional. Extremely pleased with visit.

Found the cooling issue
Steven - Austin, TX
Paul debugged the issue that caused the cooling system to not cool. It was an issue that was unusual, but he had great problem solving knowledge and was able to fix the issue. Note that a previous tech that tried to fix the problem was not able to do so.

OVEN WHIRLPOOL WOS51EC0AS04 Arrived onsite for the oven that is not keeping proper temp. I tested the oven at 350 degrees. I found the offset in the control set to 0. The oven was cycling between 250-290 degrees. I put a 30 degree offset in the control and the oven cycled between 310-350 degrees. I checked the sensor temp thru the control and found it within 10 degrees of my thermometer so the sensor is good. I turned the oven back on and when it cycled the temp rose to 420 degrees and started cycling between 380-420 degrees. The UI and possibly the main control will need to be replaced. I called techline and spoke with Andrew file# 7726618484. I explained my findings and Andrew verified the main control as the logic board. He advised to check the sensor and harness connections and if good to replace the control. I tested the harness and the sensor. The harness checked good and the sensor ohmed out correctly. I replaced the main control and retested. The unit is working as designed an

VENTHOOD UNKNOWN WVU37UC6FS0 Arrived onsite for the vent hood with poor air suction. I tested the blower and found it working as designed. Ms hadn’t cleaned the filters so that we could see where the unit was sucking and there was an obvious grease circle in the left filter directly under the blower. I tested the suction with a paper towel and there was none under the right filter. There was plenty of suction under the left filter to hold the towel. I took pics of the grease stain on the filter. Ms has a 5 burner gas cooktop under the hood with the front right burner being the large burner that she uses the most and she stated that the grease and smoke is not getting drawn thru the hood but is escaping the hood and getting to the cabinets above the hood. I called techline and spoke with Rich and explained my findings. Rich stated there is nothing we can do to repair this because it’s the design of the hood. File# 7726610657.
