As Great as an Appliance Repair Can Get
hitendpatel - Cedar Park, TX
We lost one of the double electric burners on our glass top range. And while it's never fun to have to do an unexpected major appliance repair, Appliance Express was great. We made the initial contact through the Internet, and then had in-person and automated scheduling and reminder calls. There were some errors in the part ordering, and there ended up being two things wrong with the burner rather than the one originally diagnosed, but our technician Lou was great -- Professional, prompt, personable. I hope to not have any issues in he future, but if I do, I will definitely use Appliance Express.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL GI5FSAXVY02 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working and unit leaking water. Upon further inspection, I removed the ice maker and found that cubes had gotten lodged in the tray and a few cubes did not dispense forward into e bin, but backwards towards the wall of the cabinet and the ice tray heater failed leaving ice in the tray. The IM dispensed water into the tray causing it to overfill and leak out of the unit onto the floor. I contacted Techline and spoke to Andy and advised him of my findings stated above. Andy advised that the ice not dispensing forward was a first for this issue. Due to the heater malfunctioning, he recommended replacing the IM and check water flow into the tray from the fill tube. If the water is too much or not enough, then replace the valve. Provided File #7725624533. I advised the customer of the recommendations. I removed ad replaced the IM and tested and it operated as designed and the water flow was good and th
REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRB322DMBM00 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=12 degrees & RC=40 degrees. Also, found the ice maker was making an abnormal noise. When I tested the IM, it did not harvest. I found that the times were frozen in the tray of ice cubes. Due to possible motor issues in the future, I removed and replaced the ice maker and retested and it operated as designed. Using my steamer, I removed the ice block from the evaporator. I tested the unit in diagnostics and all tests passed. I advised the customer of my findings and repairs. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Once I took the unit out of diagnostics, the rc evaporator coils began to frost up and the suction line began to frost up too much. Also, I found ice buildup on the ice bin door gasket. When I closed the left RC door, I found a gap between the gasket and ice maker facia allowing the ice maker cold air to escape. I advised the customer that the unit will need a sealed system. The unit will need a full sealed system repair consisting of the compressor, RC evaporator dye dryer, access valve and the ice bin door will need to be replaced along with the rc Evap fan motor. REFRIGERATOR FRIGIDAIRE FRS26H5AW3 "arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, as I was removing food from the FC section, I noticed that the ice maker was harvesting. Once I was done removing the foo dire s from the FC to inspect the evaporator, the noise came on. What I found was that the unit is not connected to water and when the ice maker harvests and it’s time to dispense water into the tray, the valve is making a loud grumbling noise cause there’s no water gong into it. I lifted the arm on the ice maker to turn the IM off and advised the customer that as long as the arm is in the off position, the valve won’t attempt to dispense water and make the noise anymore. Also, I found that the unit is plugged into a GFCI outlet. I advised the customer to be careful with it, because the GFCI outlet could pop at any time and cause the unit to shut off. No water connections to the unit, job completed."
